What's an LSC?
The Local School Council (LSC) is an elected group of parents, community members, school staff, and students who work together with the principal to make important decisions about the school.
LSCs help make sure the school is:
- Forcused on student success
- Using its budget wisely
- Choosing strong leadership
What are the main powers of the LSC?
- 💰 Approve the school's budget, contracts, and internal accounts
- 📝 Help create and monitor the school improvement plan
- ⚖️ Evaluate, hire, and fire the school's principal
- 🔎 Make sure school policies reflect the needs of the whole community.

Why LSC elections matter:
Your LSC helps shape the future of your school - from academic programs to school climate - the LSC holds the principal accountable to the needs of all students and families.
